Former mentor makes amazing blog
I just visited the website of one of my old mentors (he wouldn’t care for being called ‘old’, I’m guessing, so let’s be clear, I’m referring to his being an old mentor for me) Tom Peters. I had the pleasure of meeting Tom in the late 1980’s when I was a trainer with CareerTrack, at that time the world’s biggest and best training company. I had the good fortune of being chosen by him as one of 15 trainers to deliver Tom’s revolutionary ‘In Search of Excellence’ (and later, ‘Thriving on Chaos”) training to the world. It constituted a powerful education for me about the possibilities of business thinking. I’m happy to say that Tom hasn’t slowed down at all since those frenetic times. In fact, the only word that describes his blog/site is WOW! Tom continues to have the energy of a five year old kid with ADD and the output of a roomful of writers. Amazing. TomPeters.com is ALL BLOG ALL THE TIME! His site is rich with wonderful downloads, and I can’t think of a better way to start my blog than to send you to check into his. For my business readers, a warning. If you’re not familiar with Tom’s work, prepare to be overwhelmed. But hang in there. There is a rhythm to it, and great value to be found in the sparks thrown off by his lightning mind. I particularly enjoyed Tomato Tomahto, a free download.
