Crime committed as a juvenile haunts even in the after years, there is always a lurking doubt that any shadowy glance at one’s yesteryears may cost the person his dear job. However very recently Texas laws have changed dramatically with an outstanding decision which may provide relief to many. Never forget the love you have for what you do. Remember the blessing of being able to make what you make. Here’s something to consider the next time you feel a sharp retort rising to your lips when someone in your booth asks a “stupid question”. (Which, in case you don’t already know, isn’t so stupid after all . The times I find it hardest to deal with problem customers, is when I am not in a good space myself. There will be times in your life when things get hard.

In the past 14 years I’ve rubbed shoulders with more ministers than I can remember. I’ve talked with ministers of large churches, small churches, and every size in between. I’ve hung out with black ministers, Hispanic ministers, Episcopal ministers, Republican ministers, and yes, to my shame, even ministers who are Yankee fans. You name ‘em, I’ve probably picked up their lunch tab. When our conversations move past square footage and per capita giving and other things that keep God up at night, we slowly let our guard down and begin to talk from the heart.

Little kids are really difficult to shop for. In today’s market, toys are changing constantly and sometimes it feels like the moment you buy one a newer, more advanced version comes out. It’s hard to buy something you are sure will make a child happy, and if it is someone you are related to, you want it to be a great gift. Little boys can be more difficult to shop for than little girls as well. Girls are often happy with a new pretty doll or an addition to their stuffed animal collection, but boys can be a little different.
